There are two ways you can have your teeth whitened. Although they are similar, one method can be done at home, the other at the dental clinic. Both of these methods require an initial consultation at Ace Dental. Your dentist will examine your teeth and we’ll discuss the best options for you.
At-home teeth whitening involves making a custom-made whitening tray that fits your teeth for maximum exposure to the whitening agent. You can then choose the best teeth whitening system and formulas for you.
Your at-home teeth whitening treatment will either be one you apply for an hour or so during the day or a formula you apply before you go to bed and leave it to work while you sleep. At-home whitening is convenient and you can apply them while sleeping, watching TV or relaxing with a good book.
In-chair teeth whitening is applied at the Ace Dental clinic. The products used are generally only to be applied by a qualified dental practitioner. These formulas are somewhat stronger than their at-home counterparts, but in many cases, you will get the whitening results you were hoping for after a single treatment.
Boutique Whitening
Boutique Whitening is a tooth whitening system that has been developed in the US. It is completely safe and quite gentle on your teeth. Depending on the level of discolouration, you can expect to achieve exemplary whitening results within two weeks. This system works by creating a molecular reaction on the surface of your teeth and dislodging the cause of stained teeth.
There are two systems you can choose from with Boutique Whitening. You can choose from the day system, which takes around an hour or two each day, or the night time system which you leave on overnight while you sleep.
Once your Boutique Whitening treatment is complete, we’ll call you in for another visit to see how well the products have worked and give you some tips and information on keeping your winning smile shining for as long as possible.
Enlighten’s Evolution
Developed in the UK, Enlighten’s Evolution is a tooth whitening system that guarantees to whiten up to 16 shades lighter. Enlighten’s Evolution is a gentle treatment that uses a lower concentration of chemicals making it gentler on your teeth and gums, without compromising its effectiveness.
Like other teeth whitening treatments available at Ace Dental, this one also involves an initial consultation where your dentist will take an impression of your teeth so you get a custom-made whitening tray.
Enlighten’s Evolution involves a two-step application. Before you apply the whitening agent, you brush your teeth with Enlighten’s Tooth Serum Toothpaste. You then apply the whitening agent to your customized whitening tray and place the tray over your teeth.
After two weeks, you will visit your dentist again to assess your results. You can continue using the special toothpaste to maintain your winning grin.
Is Teeth Whitening Permanent?
The results of the teeth whitening treatments offered at Ace Dental have long-lasting results, but they aren’t permanent. A good dental hygiene routine will certainly prolong the results, but you should also try to avoid the substances that stained your teeth in the first place.
